Our review

The Inkbird's pitch is convenience, and it delivers on it. USB charging with eleven hours of runtime means no battery drawer, and the magnet keeps it on the oven or fridge where you'll actually reach for it rather than buried in a utensil drawer.

User calibration is the feature that distinguishes it for precision work. Being able to adjust ±5°F matters for candy making or sous vide, where a drifting thermometer quietly ruins results and you'd never know. The lock function — holding the reading after you withdraw the probe — is genuinely useful when the probe is somewhere awkward to read.

It's a second or two slower than the fastest models, which matters mainly when you're holding an oven open. The bigger caution is that the charging port isn't waterproof, so you need to cover it when cleaning — an odd weak spot on a kitchen tool. The rubber grip also shows wear over time.
