Our review
At $20 this is the cheapest scale we'd recommend, and four load sensors rather than one is the reason it stays accurate across the platform. A single-sensor scale gives different readings depending on where you place the bowl; four corners means consistency regardless.
The stainless steel platform is the practical advantage over glass — it wipes clean easily and won't crack if you knock it. The tare function works as it should, letting you zero between ingredients so you can build a recipe in one bowl, and batteries are included.
The compromises are display and housing. The LED is harder to read in bright sunlight, and the plastic body feels less substantial than the glass-topped competitors. The 120-second auto-off is the one that can actually annoy you: pour something slowly and the scale may switch off mid-measure.
