Our review
A full inch of thickness is what separates this from the thinner bamboo boards, and it changes how the board behaves under a knife. There's no flex when you're breaking down a squash or carving, and the mass keeps it planted on the counter instead of sliding.
The deep juice grooves are sized to match that intent — they hold the runoff from a whole roast rather than a few drips. Being reversible is a genuinely practical touch: prep on the grooved side, then flip to the flat back to serve cheese or bread without the grooves looking out of place.
Weight cuts both ways. At 3.9 pounds it's stable but less pleasant to lift, wash, and store than a lighter board. It's also a single board with no small companion, so quick tasks mean dirtying the big one. New units have a slight scent from the carbonised finish, which fades.

The verdict
Buy it if you want one substantial board for heavy work and serving. Pair it with a cheap small board, since using this for every lemon gets tiring.
